The action continues in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) as the Invitational Conference begins on Tuesday, just four days after the PVL On Tour finals on Sunday.
Four local teams will participate in the Invitational Conference, running from August 21 to 31: Creamline, Cignal HD, Chery Tiggo, and PLDT. They will be joined by the returning Kurashiki Ablaze and another Japanese team, Kobe Shinwa University.
Kurashiki Ablaze won the conference in 2023 and placed third last year, with the Cool Smashers claiming the title.
Kobe Shinwa University was originally set to compete in the 2022 edition but withdrew due to pandemic-related restrictions in Japan.
The six teams will play in a single round-robin format during the preliminary round. The top two teams will advance to the finals, while the third and fourth-placed teams will compete for bronze.
