The celebrities were recognized at the 11th EdukCircle Awards.

The Kapuso Primetime King and Queen received the Most Influential Celebrities Award from the award-giving body.

According to the Kapuso couple, the recognition comes with a responsibility, especially for the youth.

“We hope to be a good inspiration for them. And of course we want to spread good vibes,” Marian said.

“I think it’s very timely especially with GMA’s current campaign ‘Be Juan Tama.’ It’s so easy to create various kinds of content now. So this serves as a reminder that we should choose what is right,” Dingdong added.

Aside from being entertaining, Dingdong and Marian assure that their content is educational and relevant, which is reflected in the former’s role as an Ambassador of Panatag Pilipinas Disaster Risk Communication Campaign of the Office of the Civil Defense.

“What are the things we need to do when it comes to disasters? Sometimes it’s scary. I understand that. But there are ways. The first thing we need to protect if something happens is our home, our family,” Dingdong said.

Dingdong currently hosts “Family Feud,” “Amazing Earth,” and “The Voice Kids Philippines.” He will also star in upcoming series with other celebrities.

Meanwhile, Marian is among the judges of “Stars on the Floor.”
