The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported it has recorded 1,055 aftershocks as of 7 a.m. Tuesday following the earthquake in Mindanao.

According to PHIVOLCS, 301 of the aftershocks have been located, while 21 were felt by residents in affected areas.

The magnitude of the recorded aftershocks ranged from 1.3 to 6.7.

PHIVOLCS released a plotted map of earthquakes using data from the General Santos Seismic Station (GSP) and the Don Marcelino Seismic Station in Davao Occidental.

The reported death toll from the earthquake that struck offshore Sarangani on Monday has risen, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said on Tuesday.

Search, rescue, and retrieval operations are ongoing.

The earthquake has affected 17,689 families or 77,186 individuals across affected areas in Mindanao, based on initial data.
