The preliminary session on the lawsuit by the Anapa authorities against the owner of the tanker “Volgoneft-239”, the charterer of the vessel “Volgoneft-212”, and its owner, was conducted by the Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Territory.
The judge granted the request of the city resort’s administration to involve the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation as a third party. Also, at the preliminary session, a representative disputed the amount of damages claimed by the city due to the lack of evidence, inclusion of VAT, and costs for purchasing special equipment.
