The Commander of Kodim 0508/Depok, Colonel Inf Iman Widhiarto, invites the youth, especially children in Depok City, to love the works and arts of Indonesian culture.
To introduce this culture, Kodim 0508/Depok organized a Nusantara creative dance competition at Pesona Square Mall, Saturday (09/11/24).
“This activity is in line with the TNI’s duties in empowering the potential of defense areas, one of which is culture,” said the Commander of Kodim 0508/Depok.
He mentioned that this universal defense system is regulated in Law Number 34 of 2004 about the Indonesian National Army (TNI).
The goal of national defense is to protect and maintain the sovereignty of the country, the integrity of the territory, and the safety of the nation from all forms of threats.
He also added that art and culture are part of community development efforts.
