“Kirin gives away 600 free bottles of ‘Salty Lychee’ drink at Tsurumi Station to prevent heatstroke”

The Kirin Group distributed heatstroke prevention drinks manufactured at its Kanagawa Prefecture factory at the east exit of JR Tsurumi Station (Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama) on the 28th.
The initiative was organized by the nearby Yokohama Factory and Tsurumi Fire Department. Under the slogan “Delicious Heatstroke Prevention,” they handed out 600 free bottles of “Salty Lychee,” a drink designed for easy replenishment of salt and fluids. The product is manufactured at the Shonan Factory (Samukawa Town).
The day saw another midsummer heatwave in the city. Factory Manager Fujiwara Yoshihisa stated, “The risk of heatstroke is increasing every year. We hope people will stay refreshed during the hot summer with Kirin products.”
