The Metropolitan Police Department on the 9th sent documents on the former manager of the professional baseball Yomiuri Giants on suspicion of assaulting his 18-year-old eldest daughter. It is reported that he has admitted to the allegations. This was revealed through interviews with investigative sources.

When the documents were sent, it is said that a recommendation for lenient treatment, not seeking strict punishment, was attached from the prosecution side.

According to investigative sources, the former manager is suspected of grabbing his eldest daughter by the collar and pushing her down at around 7 p.m. on May 25 at his home.

Investigative sources report that the eldest daughter explained the situation to a generative AI and asked how to respond, then contacted the child consultation center based on the answer.

After receiving a 110 call from the child consultation center, police officers from the Metropolitan Police Department rushed to the scene and arrested the former manager in the act.

At the time, the eldest and second daughters were arguing, and the former manager reportedly told them to be quiet and stop, but when the eldest daughter talked back, he lost his temper. He explained this sequence of events.

Shibuya Police Station released the former manager early on the morning of the 26th and switched to voluntary investigation.

Sending documents refers to the procedure where police voluntarily send investigation results along with evidence to prosecutors. From here, prosecutors will investigate and, if they determine criminal liability, either indict and take the case to trial or seek a summary indictment with a fine. If not, no charges will be filed.
