Sapporo City will begin a demonstration experiment for an all-day unlimited ride service using credit card touch payments on municipal subways around late November. When using the same card at ticket gates, once the payment amount reaches the daily limit, no additional fares will be automatically charged. The city aims for full implementation by 2026.
