NPO “Bridge for the Birds” (BBH) in Sapporo’s Atsubetsu Ward has completed the construction of an animal shelter this month using funds raised through crowdfunding. This initiative focusing on pet birds is rare within Hokkaido. The organization accepts birds that have lost their homes due to owner illness, injury, or other circumstances and works to connect them with new owners.
