The man is suspected of kneeing a 44-year-old male acquaintance in the lower abdomen in a hallway of a restaurant building in Minami 5-jo Nishi 6-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, around 3:20 AM on July 16, 2025, causing serious internal injuries.
According to police, the incident came to light after the victim made an emergency call reporting an assault to his abdomen immediately after the crime.
The man has denied the allegations, stating, “I was drunk and don’t remember, so I can’t say whether I did it or not.”
