Around 9:50 PM on the 5th, on a prefectural road in Jozankei, Minami Ward, Sapporo, a car driven by a teenage male collided with a brown bear. The male driver was not injured.

Jozankei is a scenic hot spring resort located in a valley just outside Sapporo, Japan. It was developed in the mid-19th century and named after the Buddhist priest Mizuno Jozan, who discovered its therapeutic waters.
