Sapporo Chuo Police Station arrested a 58-year-old man, who identified himself as a company executive, on suspicion of assault at 1:40 AM on July 20, 2025, in Ishikari City, Hanakawa Minami 2-jo 4-chome.
The suspect allegedly visited a bar in Sapporo’s Chuo Ward, Minami 5-jo Nishi 3-chome, as a customer around 12:45 AM. After an argument with the owner for unspecified reasons, he reportedly punched the owner once in the face.
According to police, the man had been drinking at the time of the assault.
During questioning, the man denied the allegations, stating, “I did not punch the other person’s face.”
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the assault in detail.
