This film is based on Super Mario Galaxy, which was released for the Wii.

The Super Mario Theater Is Born!

For a limited time from Friday, April 24, 2026, to Sunday, May 10, 2026, the special Super Mario Theater will be available at five TOHO Cinemas locations across Japan!
Mario and Yoshi will welcome you at the theater.


The theater offers plenty of elements to immerse you in the world of the film, including special seat covers that make you feel like you are watching the movie in the galaxy with Luma, screenings of a special video featuring Mamoru Miyano, who plays Mario, and Tasuku Hatanaka, who plays Luigi, and special theater gifts including a Special Bracelet.
Additionally, when you check in with Nintendo Today!, there is exclusive content where you can look for Mario and friends in the space that spreads across your smartphone screen.
