On Sunday, May 31, 2026, an event was held in the southern parking lot of Hotel Plaza Osaka, and we were able to attend!

“Genealogy of Hope” is a work by BAKIBAKI, known for a unique style blending traditional Japanese patterns with street art. It was displayed near the west gate of the Osaka-Kansai Expo held in 2025. Originally scheduled for dismantling after the expo, it was moved to Hotel Plaza Osaka to preserve the memories and excitement of the expo for the future.

BAKIBAKI also attended the ceremony that day.

In his speech, BAKIBAKI said, “At the expo venue, people from all over the world saw ‘Genealogy of Hope.’ I intended to dismantle it after the expo, but thanks to the support of many people, we are now leaving this work as an expo legacy in this area of Juso, connecting it to the future. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone.”

At the unveiling ceremony, participants counted down together, and the unveiling was carried out.
When “Genealogy of Hope” was revealed, loud cheers and applause rose from the venue!
“Genealogy of Hope,” inherited from the Osaka-Kansai Expo, is expected to attract attention as a new art spot adding color to the Juso area.

Why not take this opportunity to see “Genealogy of Hope”?
