An event where you can learn about health and medicine while having fun is being held in Nagoya.
This year marks the 13th “Chunichi Health Fair” with participation from 24 organizations including local governments and companies dealing with health equipment.
The event also features booths by students from Nagoya Medical College who are studying medicine.
They were sharing knowledge and skills learned in their daily classes with visitors, offering opportunities to experience dental hygienist work using actual equipment and emergency life-saving training sessions conducted by students aiming to become emergency medical technicians.
This event will also be held on the 13th.
Chunichi Health Fair
The Chunichi Health Fair is a recurring public health and wellness event in Japan, typically organized by the Chunichi Shimbun, a major newspaper company. It functions as an exhibition and community fair, bringing together medical professionals, fitness experts, and various health-related businesses to promote public well-being through seminars, health checks, and product demonstrations.
Nagoya Medical College
Nagoya Medical College was originally established in 1871 as a temporary hospital and medical school. It later evolved and was formally reorganized as the Nagoya Medical College in 1903 under the old university system, serving as a precursor to the medical faculty of the prestigious Nagoya University, which was founded in 1939.
