Al Jufra, January 3, 2026 – A security force belonging to the Joint Security Chamber in Al Jufra managed to apprehend a number of illegal female migrants of Nigerian nationality, who were present on Libyan territory without carrying any identification papers or official documents proving the legality of their entry.

The Joint Security Chamber explained that one of its security checkpoints managed to intercept a “Fiat” vehicle carrying nine Nigerian women suspected of being illegal migrants. Upon inspecting the vehicle, it was confirmed that the women on board were not carrying any official documents.

The Chamber confirmed that it had taken the necessary legal measures regarding the incident, as the detainees were referred to the General Investigations Department of the Al Jufra Security Directorate to complete the legal procedures in accordance with the applicable laws.

The Joint Security Chamber in Al Jufra also stressed the importance of redoubling efforts to apprehend lawbreakers and confront all negative phenomena, which contributes to maintaining security and public order within the region.
