Moscow court arrests another suspect in connection with terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has arrested a new suspect in the case of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall. The suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, was taken into custody until June 23, 2024. The court’s press service reported that the investigation requested the arrest of another individual involved in the case.
According to the court, the accused is charged with committing a terrorist act resulting in the death of multiple people (Part 3, Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The identity of the suspect has not been officially confirmed, but according to media reports, he may be a Tajik citizen who provided the attackers with means of communication and money.
Earlier, it was reported that on March 22, 2024, armed individuals opened fire on visitors to the Crocus City Hall concert hall and then set the building on fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, 145 people were killed and more than 550 were injured. Currently, the investigation is ongoing, and several suspects have been detained.
