Data from the Fire and Rescue Department recorded 150 fire cases from January to August 2025 with material losses reaching IDR 15.6 billion.

The highest surge occurred in September 2025 with 51 cases, dominated by open land fires due to extreme weather and drought.

Therefore, the Surabaya City Branch Leadership Council held fire prevention training on Sunday (10/12/2025). This activity was initiated by the Disaster Management Agency of DPC PDI Perjuangan Surabaya and is part of efforts to strengthen party cadre preparedness down to the grassroots level.

The training was held due to increasing fire cases in Surabaya, both in residential areas and densely populated neighborhoods.
