Treetan, a digital platform specializing in Umrah and halal tourism services, forms a strategic partnership with PT Pos Indonesia.

SURABAYA – The potential of the Umrah and halal tourism market in Indonesia continues to attract attention. Addressing this opportunity, Treetan, a digital platform dedicated to halal travel, has established a strategic collaboration with PT Pos Indonesia. This partnership was marked by an educational and socialization event at the Kebon Rojo Post Office in Surabaya on Wednesday (9/7/2025), aimed at promoting digital services for Sharia-compliant pilgrimage and tourism.

The CEO of PT Treetan Nusantara Network highlighted that Surabaya and East Java hold significant market potential. Therefore, direct community engagement serves as a strategic approach to introducing the convenience of digital Umrah and halal tourism services through PT Pos Indonesia’s extensive network.

“We see strong enthusiasm from the public. Partnering with PT Pos Indonesia makes it easier for people to access reliable and affordable Umrah services, especially since post offices reach even remote areas,” he said.

The collaboration between Treetan and PT Pos Indonesia has been ongoing for the past three years. This partnership has already facilitated the departure of dozens of Umrah pilgrims through digital-based programs. The CEO remains optimistic that these numbers will continue to grow as educational efforts expand.

“Every year, around 2 million Indonesians embark on Umrah pilgrimages. If Pos Indonesia can capture even 20% of this market, it would be remarkable. We aim to reach as many people as possible,” he added.

Digital Innovation Through PosPay Boosts Tech-Based Halal Tourism

As part of service digitization, PT Pos Indonesia and Treetan have introduced PosPay, a multifunctional digital platform that allows users to conveniently and securely pay for Umrah and halal tourism services.

With PosPay, people no longer need to worry about complicated registration processes or limited access. The platform also provides transparent pricing and departure schedules, addressing concerns about fraudulent travel agencies.

“PosPay and Treetan are designed to offer safety and comfort for prospective pilgrims. We want the Umrah and halal tourism process to become more inclusive,” the CEO stated.

The Executive Vice President of PT Pos Indonesia reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding this collaboration. PT Pos Indonesia is ready to mobilize over 2,400 employees across East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara, involving 815 branch offices as agents for Umrah and halal tourism services.

“With our network, even people in remote areas can access trusted Umrah services. We want Pos Indonesia to serve as a spiritual bridge for Indonesian Muslims,” he said.

Beyond accessibility, trust is also a key focus. The General Manager of Aerohajj Travel—Treetan’s Umrah travel partner—explained that all departure programs have secured block seats on Garuda Indonesia flights.

“Pilgrims don’t need to worry about cancellations. As long as documents are complete and coordination runs smoothly, departures are guaranteed,” he clarified.

With the ongoing digitalization trend, the partnership between Treetan and PT Pos Indonesia marks a new chapter in the Umrah and halal tourism industry. Beyond selling travel packages, this initiative builds an ecosystem of transparent, secure, and affordable pilgrimage services.

Technologies like PosPay are expected to enhance the inclusivity of Sharia-compliant services, reinforcing Indonesia’s role as one of the world’s largest halal tourism markets.

PosPay

“PosPay” does not appear to refer to a well-known place or cultural site. It may be a misspelling or a reference to a local or lesser-known location. If you meant a specific site (e.g., “Positano” in Italy or another name), please provide more details so I can offer an accurate summary.

Alternatively, if “PosPay” refers to a digital platform or modern service, it would not qualify as a traditional cultural or historical site. Let me know how you’d like to proceed!
