- Agency predicts potential local rain in Jakarta during the Eid al-Adha prayer on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
- Weather conditions in Jakarta are expected to change rapidly from scorching heat in the morning to rain in the afternoon.
- Residents are advised to maintain their health and monitor weather updates to anticipate hot temperatures and potential local rain.
Residents of Jakarta preparing to perform the 2026 Eid al-Adha prayer in open fields are asked to start being cautious of weather changes on Wednesday (May 27, 2026) tomorrow.
The agency predicts that the Jakarta area still has the potential for local rain, even though some areas are beginning to enter the dry season.
Weather in the capital is expected to be hot and scorching from morning to afternoon. However, unstable atmospheric conditions can trigger light to moderate rain in several areas of Jakarta in the afternoon or evening.
The agency previously explained that the Jakarta, Banten, and parts of Java regions are indeed starting to enter a transitional phase toward the dry season gradually at the end of May 2026. Even so, the potential for local rain still arises due to daytime heat triggering the growth of rain clouds.
These conditions make the weather during the prayer likely to change rapidly, especially from afternoon until evening.
For the Eid prayer, morning weather in Jakarta is expected to be relatively safe with partly cloudy to thick cloudy conditions in several areas. However, residents are still asked to anticipate the possibility of local rain if they are active outdoors for longer periods.
In addition to local rain, the agency also reminds that air temperatures in Jakarta have the potential to feel quite hot during the day with high humidity levels. These conditions can make sacrificial activities and meat distribution more tiring if they take too long under direct sun exposure.
Therefore, residents are advised to:
- prepare an umbrella or light raincoat,
- maintain adequate body hydration,
- avoid prolonged activities under the scorching sun,
- and continuously monitor weather forecast updates from the agency.
This year’s Eid al-Adha weather is also a concern because in recent days Jakarta has still experienced quite extreme weather changes, ranging from scorching heat to heavy rain in a short time.
Nevertheless, the agency has not yet issued a special extreme weather early warning for the Jakarta area on Eid al-Adha 2026.
