The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta has confirmed that the local government, through the Education Department, has established a policy for distance learning (PJJ) for schools located near protest activities.

Additionally, the PJJ policy can also be applied to schools experiencing access difficulties due to the impact of the protests.

“We have provided guidance to the Education Department. So, schools that are in vulnerable locations can implement distance learning,” he said on Monday (1/9).

For schools located far from the protest activities and not facing access issues, the Education Department allows the implementation of in-person learning or distance learning (PJJ) after coordinating with the school committee.

It is hoped that the situation will soon be under control so that teaching and learning activities in schools can return to normal.

“Hopefully, everything will be back to normal by Wednesday. Hopefully,” the statement concluded.
