The murder of the owner of a wedding tent rental business in West Java, identified as ES (60), remains a mystery. Following the murder, police revealed that some of the victim’s belongings are missing.

“Yes, there are missing items,” said the Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Sumarni, to reporters on Friday, April 17, 2026. Sumarni responded to a question about whether any of the victim’s belongings were missing after the murder.

However, Sumarni did not provide details about what items were missing. She also did not explain how many items were taken.

The Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metro Police, Budi Hermanto, also did not disclose the victim’s missing belongings. He asked the media to wait for the investigation to conclude.

“Please be patient,” he said.

When asked whether the police had identified the perpetrator of the murder, Budi did not respond.

As previously reported, residents of Kertamukti Village, Cibitung, Bekasi Regency, West Java, were shocked by the discovery of a woman’s body covered in blood inside her home. The incident was reported on Thursday, April 9.

The discovery began when the victim’s employee came to the house to pick up tent equipment. However, the victim did not respond when called.

Eventually, the victim’s house was opened. The employee then found the victim dead, covered in blood.

“After the house door was successfully opened, the victim was found lying on her back with injuries to her head,” Budi said.
