BEKASI CITY – The Bekasi City Government has proposed a budget of over IDR 100 billion for the needs of the XV/2026 West Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov). This was stated following a plenary meeting of the City Council.

According to the statement, the budget is planned to be used for the construction of sports venues for the events that will be competed in the quadrennial event.

“God willing, there will also be assistance from the West Java Koni, hopefully, God willing, it can be completed next year.”

It was added that in the upcoming Porprov event, there will be approximately 49 sports competed in Bekasi City.

“There are 49 sports that will be competed, examples include football, volleyball, badminton, and paramotoring.”

There is optimism that all venues for the 2026 Porprov sports can be completed by the end of 2024.

“God willing, by the end of this year, all venues budgeted for 2024 will be finished, with only a few additions remaining.”
