The coach provided an update on the team’s condition after playing two initial matches in the preseason tournament.

He revealed that several players suffered minor injuries due to the high intensity of training and matches.

According to him, the players’ fitness is still in the adaptation phase as they have only trained for a week.

“Since we played two matches, some players have minor injuries. Their bodies aren’t fully ready yet, but there are no serious injuries,” he said.

One player with the most serious issue is Saddil Ramdani. He mentioned that Saddil may need about three weeks to fully recover.

Meanwhile, other players like Luciano Guaycochea and Patricio Matricardi are dealing with muscle fatigue and are expected to recover within two days.

“Julio Cesar has already started training today. All players are gradually regaining fitness and preparing for the 2025/2026 Liga 1,” he stated.

The team’s focus is now shifting from the preseason tournament to full preparation for the actual league competition.

When asked about the team’s chances of advancing from the group stage, Bojan declined to give a firm comment. He believes the timing of the tournament is less than ideal for a team just starting preseason.

“I said last season, the President’s Cup comes at an inconvenient time. If it were held in late July, it would be perfect. But now, the important thing is that no players get injured,” he said.

The coach, who once led the Malaysian U-19 national team to victory, also emphasized that final results in the preseason tournament are not the main priority.

“We are more focused on fitness and team readiness for Liga 1. Results in the President’s Cup aren’t everything,” he said.

Julio Cesar and Beckham Have Started Training, Persib Bandung Optimistic

Brazilian defender Julio Cesar completed his first training session with Persib Bandung at the auxiliary field of Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Alongside Julio Cesar, the Indonesian national team midfielder has also joined.

The coach shared positive news regarding both players. Julio Cesar, the new signing, faced some issues due to the long-distance flight.

However, he assured that his physical condition is not a concern.

“Okay, maybe he was affected by the long flight. But today he has already trained, and everything will be fine,” he said after the team’s training session on Thursday (7/10).

Meanwhile, Beckham, who previously played for the Indonesian National Team, has also returned to training.

He explained that the young midfielder was given extra rest for recovery after a busy schedule at the end of last season.

“Beckham just arrived. We gave him extra rest because he previously played for the National Team and finished training and matches later than other players. He has already trained today—if he hasn’t gained weight, then everything is fine,” he said.
