A major twist emerged in the Sheena Bora murder case, one of the country’s most talked-about cases. Vidhi Mukerjea, daughter of Indrani Mukerjea, raised questions about the CBI’s chargesheet while testifying in court. In the special CBI court of Judge J P Darekar, she clearly stated that the statements recorded by the investigating agency in her name are completely fake and fabricated.

Vidhi Mukerjea claimed that she was forced to sign several blank papers and copies of emails. These were later presented as her statements. She told the court that if a false statement has been included in the chargesheet in her name, it clearly indicates a conspiracy to falsely implicate someone. In this entire game, the role of Peter Mukerjea’s sons, Rahul and Rabin, is suspicious.

Vidhi also accused them of creating pressure to falsely implicate her mother, Indrani Mukerjea. Making shocking allegations, she said that after her mother’s arrest, ancestral jewelry worth crores of rupees and over 7 crore rupees kept in the bank were stolen. All of this was done by Rahul and Rabin Mukerjea. A new bank locker was even opened in her name.

It was also claimed that Rahul and Rabin were in poor financial condition. They were dependent on money to sustain their lives. This was the reason they conspired to falsely implicate Indrani Mukerjea, so that no questions would be raised about the stolen money and jewelry. Vidhi also reminded the court that Sheena Bora presented herself as Indrani’s sister. The two were extremely close.

The situation between them deteriorated when the relationship between Rahul and Sheena became publicly known. The family learned about her drug use. The witness said that she last saw Sheena Bora in 2011 at a wedding in Goa. However, contact between the two continued via email until 2013. The prosecution alleges that Indrani murdered Sheena in April 2012.

Her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai assisted in this. The three together burned Sheena’s body in the forests of Raigad. This secret was revealed in 2015 when Shyamvar Rai, after being arrested in another case, disclosed the murder. But on Tuesday, Vidhi Mukerjea’s testimony changed the entire direction of the case. She clearly stated that the statement presented against her mother is fake.
