Durgesh Kumar, who won hearts with his small but memorable role as Banrakas in the popular web series Panchayat, has been facing some personal troubles lately. The issue revolves around his personal life. Every time he goes for a marriage proposal, he gets rejected. Frustrated by this, Durgesh finally took to social media to share his side of the story.
Fake information has been spread about me
In an exclusive conversation, Durgesh revealed that after the release of Panchayat 2, a lot was written about him. While his popularity among viewers grew, it also came with a major downside—many people started making false assumptions about his personal life without even asking him. Several social media platforms claimed he was married. Not just that, some even said he had two children. “If you Google me, you’ll find this information, which is completely false. I am single, and the viral pictures of children are actually my sister’s kids.”
Unable to get married
Durgesh further explained, “As a result, I’m facing a lot of difficulties in getting married. Whenever my parents approach a family with a marriage proposal, they show them the information available on Google and say, ‘Your son is already married.’ This is why no alliance has worked out in the past year. Initially, I took it lightly, but now it’s genuinely troubling me. That’s why today, I posted screenshots of this misinformation on social media, clarifying that I am not married and requesting its removal as soon as possible.”
Next schedule for Panchayat’s new season in October
Speaking about his work, Durgesh shared, “Recently, the first part of Panchayat’s third season was shot. The next schedule is set to be completed in October. Besides this, Panchayat has opened up many opportunities for me. My career is progressing well, and much of the credit goes to the show. I just hope this false information on social media gets cleared so I can also enjoy marital happiness in my personal life.”
