    The film industry also made allegations

    Since the change of power in West Bengal, people had become openly opposed to him. Simran Pal, a makeup artist working in the Bengali film industry, also made serious allegations of extortion against him. She also stated that many artists were being boycotted because of Biswas. On this issue, MLA Papia Adhikari also attacked Swarup Biswas. Additionally, several other complaints were received against Biswas.

    TMC leaders seen returning cut money

    The issue of ‘cut money’ was dominant during the West Bengal assembly elections. As soon as the change of power occurred, the Suvendu government took action against those who extorted cut money. A video surfaced from the Cooch Behar district of West Bengal showing the return of ‘cut money’ extorted from people. During the Trinamool government, ‘cut money’ was extorted from beneficiaries under the guise of providing benefits from the ‘Housing Scheme.’
