Dr. Rahul Devraj has been appointed as the Director of the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad, for a term of three years. Dr. Devraj succeeds Dr. Nagari Bheerappa, who was appointed Director of the premier tertiary care institute in June 2023.

The appointment was made through a Government Order (G.O.) issued by Health Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu.

A senior urologist, Dr. Devraj currently serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Urology at NIMS. He is among the institute’s senior faculty members and has been associated with its clinical, academic and administrative activities for several years.
