Police raided a pub in KPHB, Hyderabad, and detained 9 people.
Hyderabad: A sudden raid was conducted on the Kings and Queens (Club Masti) pub located in the KPHB police station area, under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Kukatpally Zone.
According to information received, during the inspection, evidence was found that allegedly promoted prostitution within the pub. Additionally, there were no necessary arrangements to prevent the entry of minors. The pub was also being operated beyond the stipulated time limit, and alcohol and food items were being served contrary to government regulations. Furthermore, the pub did not have a valid police No Objection Certificate (NOC).
It was reported that three cases had already been registered against the pub in the year 2025 under various sections. During the raid, a total of nine employees, including four women and five men, were taken into custody and are being interrogated. It was reported that the pub operator was allegedly attracting male customers through female employees and billing them higher amounts. Information was also given that women were being arranged for customers to promote immoral activities.
In this regard, a case is being registered and investigated under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). Additional police officials and personnel were present during the operation.
