New Delhi, The Congress party on Monday accused that after another increase in petrol and diesel prices, inflation human Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes promises during elections and attacks the public’s pockets the rest of the time.

Petrol and diesel prices were raised again on Monday. Petrol prices were increased by 2.61 rupees per liter, while diesel prices were increased by 2.71 rupees per liter. This is the fourth time in less than two weeks that petrol and diesel prices have been increased. In Delhi, petrol prices were increased by 2.61 rupees per liter to 102.12 rupees per liter, from 99.51 rupees per liter earlier. Diesel prices were increased by 2.71 rupees to 95.20 rupees per liter, from 92.49 rupees per liter earlier.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, posted on X, “Inflation human Modi’s attack again. They increase petrol and diesel prices in installments, so that your pockets are quietly cut.” Congress’s former president Rahul Gandhi posted on X, “I have been saying for months that an economic storm is coming, but Modi ji was busy with elections as usual, and as soon as the elections ended, he made petrol and diesel more expensive by eight rupees. This increase will continue.” The Congress leader claimed that ‘inflation human’ Modi’s only job is to make promises during elections and attack the public’s pockets the rest of the time.

Kharge said – Fuel prices increased for the fourth time in 10 days

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge posted on X, “The daily attack of fuel loot is not over yet. Petrol and diesel prices have been increased for the fourth time in 10 days. Petrol prices have increased by 7.35 rupees per liter and diesel prices by 7.53 rupees per liter.” He alleged that the Modi government has “sprayed petrol to set fire to the savings of common people.” He claimed that the Modi government has looted 43 lakh crore rupees in the last 12 years.

Kharge questioned who is benefiting from this daily robbery. Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak Basoya alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s heart has turned to stone, which does not melt even after seeing the suffering of the countrymen. In a conversation with reporters, she questioned, “Despite the price of crude oil falling in the international market, why are petrol and diesel becoming expensive in India? Why were petrol prices increased by eight rupees and diesel prices by 7.80 rupees in the last 11 days? By increasing excise duty, 43 lakh crore rupees were collected from the public, why is that collection not being used to provide relief to the people of the country from the economic crisis?” Ragini Nayak claimed that by cutting the pockets of the public, the pockets of the Prime Minister’s ‘friends’ are being filled.
