In Yamunanagar, an NHAI employee was defrauded of 20.50 lakh rupees under the pretext of promotion and transfer. The fraudsters posed as being from the PMO, NSA, and the Ministry of Road Transport.
A case has come to light where an NHAI employee was cheated of 20.50 lakh rupees on the pretext of promotion and transfer. Police have registered a case.
The victim stated that he was employed at NHAI, New Delhi until February 16, 2025, and his DGM Tech promotion case was pending in court. During this time, he was introduced to the accused.
The accused won his trust by claiming to be close associates of the National Security Advisor, PMO, and senior officials of the Ministry of Road Transport. After that, they met at different locations and took a total of 20.50 lakh rupees.
The accused also provided fake letters and documents, using the names of senior officials. On February 16, the victim retired. Later, the accused demanded more money and sent a fake joining letter. Upon investigation in the department, the documents were found to be fake. When the victim protested, the accused started threatening him. Police are investigating the case.
