Smoking in Flight: Another case of smoking on a flight has come to light. This time, a young woman was smoking in the toilet of an Indigo flight bound for Bangalore. When the flight crew became suspicious, they checked the bathroom. They found cigarette butts in the trash bin there. The woman has been detained at Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport.
Started Smoking Even Before Landing
According to reports, this incident occurred on Indigo flight number 6E716, which was traveling from Kolkata to Bangalore. The accused is a 24-year-old woman from West Bengal’s Siālda district. It is reported that before the flight landed at Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport, the woman went to the toilet and started smoking a cigarette. Suspecting smoking, the flight crew had her open the door and caught her red-handed. After the plane landed, police arrested her.
Similar Cases Have Occurred Before
A similar incident had occurred in India before this. The incident happened in February on an Indigo flight from Mumbai to Ranchi. On this flight, an influencer was detained on charges of smoking during the flight. When the woman was inside the lavatory, the flight’s smoke alarm went off. Following that, the flight crew apprehended her.
When Prevented from Smoking on Moscow Flight, Woman Became Topless
A similar incident of unruly behavior recently occurred on a flight in Russia. According to reports, a 49-year-old woman suddenly started smoking a cigarette near the toilet. When the crew asked her not to do so, she became enraged. In protest, she became topless and even started removing her clothes. The woman did not stop there. She then attempted to enter the cockpit. Reports state that with the help of passengers, the accused female passenger was handcuffed on the flight and then handed over to police upon landing in Moscow.
