Vadodara Division

The Vadodara Division is an administrative region within the Indian state of Gujarat, historically known as the Baroda Residency under British rule. Its cultural heart is the city of Vadodara (Baroda), famed as the former capital of the powerful Gaekwad dynasty, which ruled from the early 18th century and left a legacy of grand palaces, museums, and educational institutions. Today, the division encompasses several districts and remains a major center for art, education, and industry in western India.

Western Railway

The Western Railway is one of India’s oldest and largest railway zones, originally established in 1855 during British colonial rule. It was formed by merging several historic railway companies and played a key role in connecting the port city of Mumbai (then Bombay) with the rest of the country, facilitating trade and movement. Today, it remains a vital network, operating major routes in western India and serving millions of passengers annually.
