Middle-class students will receive excellent and quality education completely free of charge, without any fees.

The Surat Municipal Corporation has completed another landmark project in the field of education. A state-of-the-art ‘Suman School’ has been built near Mahavir Chowk, close to Yogi Chowk in Surat, and the admission process for students in grades 9 and 10 has already begun.

The school project was completed under the guidance of the Minister of Health, who visited the school today. On this occasion, he stated that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, as comprehensive development takes place across Gujarat, this modern school has been started so that middle-class students can receive excellent and quality education completely free of charge, without any fees. A special feature of this school is that education will be provided in two shifts. The state government has granted special permission for this.

The minister said that under the Suman School, classes for grades 9 and 10 will be conducted, and admissions will be given based on merit. For students who could not get admission in the morning shift, classes for grades 9 and 10 approved by the state government will be started.

Furthermore, the minister announced that from next year, classes for grades 11 and 12 will also be started in this same school, and students will be admitted so that they can complete their education from the primary level to the higher secondary level in one place.

Infrastructure to Rival Private Schools

The Minister of Health proudly stated that there is no private school in the surrounding area with such a magnificent building or such a qualified teaching staff. This school will prove very significant in achieving the goal of reducing the dropout rate to zero. Under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the Chief Minister approved 942 new school classrooms in the Surat Municipal Corporation area, resulting in excellent schools being built in every corner of Surat. The minister extended heartfelt congratulations to all the councilors of Surat for this great contribution to the field of education.

It is noteworthy that at this school located at Mahavir Chowk, admissions for grades 9 and 10 can be arranged by contacting the school between Monday and Saturday. Parents are requested to contact the school as soon as possible for their children’s admission.
