Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed participants from around the world to the Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit, which began here on Monday, expressing hope that the outcomes of the summit will help build a progressive, innovative, and opportunity-rich future.
Ahead of the five-day summit, which runs until February 20, Mr. Modi said in a series of social media posts that the summit’s theme, ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’ (May all be happy), reflects our shared commitment to using artificial intelligence for human-centric progress.
The Prime Minister said, “Starting today, India is hosting the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. I extend a heartfelt welcome to leaders, industry captains, innovators, policymakers, researchers, and tech enthusiasts from across the globe for this summit.
The summit’s theme is ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’, meaning ‘May all be happy’, which showcases our shared commitment to using artificial intelligence for human-centric progress.”
He said, “Today, AI is transforming numerous sectors including health, education, agriculture, governance, and enterprise. The AI Impact Summit will enhance global dialogue on various aspects of AI, such as innovation, collaboration, responsible use, and much more. I believe the summit’s outcomes will help create a future that is progressive, innovative, and full of opportunities.”
Modi said, “Thanks to India’s 1.4 billion people, our country is at the forefront of the AI transformation. From digital public infrastructure to a vibrant startup ecosystem and cutting-edge research, our progress in AI demonstrates both ambition and responsibility.”
Earlier, in another post, he said, “It is a matter of immense pride for us that people from across the world are coming to India for the AI Impact Summit. This also highlights the capability of our nation’s youth.
This occasion is also proof that our country is progressing rapidly in the field of science and technology and contributing significantly to global development.”
