The Prime Minister’s Office reported that industrial development in Ethiopia is accelerating job creation and boosting local manufacturing, as part of a broader push for comprehensive economic transformation.
The office stated that through focused industrialization and import substitution efforts, the country is working to reduce dependence on imported goods, save foreign currency, and build resilient local value chains.
It also noted that investments in industrial parks, support for local producers, and the promotion of products bearing the “Made in Ethiopia” brand are driving growth, enhancing skills and innovation, and creating value, sustainability, and real opportunities within the country.
