Songzheng Aviation Power Headquarters signed an agreement in Shuangliu, adding a new «AI+3D printing» super factory in Chengdu. Another intelligent manufacturing production base has officially commenced operations, covering over 60,000 square meters. Recently, several projects in Chengdu have made new progress.

Songzheng Aviation Power Headquarters signed in Shuangliu

Recently, Tianjin Songzheng Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as «Songzheng») formally signed a cooperation agreement with the Management Committee of Chengdu Shuangliu Economic Development Zone. Its holding company, Sichuan Songzheng Aviation Power Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as «Songzheng Aviation»), will invest in building an aviation power headquarters base in the Chengdu University of Electronic Science and Technology Industrial Park and the Pingxin Industrial Park within the Shuangliu Economic Development Zone.

As a national high-tech enterprise and a national-level specialized and new «Little Giant» enterprise focused on the research, development, and manufacturing of new energy electric drive systems, Songzheng has undertaken major projects such as the National 863 Program. It possesses full-chain capabilities in technology research and development, production line construction, and mass production of mature products, including flat wire motors and electric drive controllers.

This cooperation focuses on tackling key technologies in the core field of the low-altitude economy. The project, located in Shuangliu, will establish Songzheng Aviation’s pilot testing base, an aviation environmental laboratory based on the DO-160 standard, a national sales center, and an independent capital entity. It will focus on breakthroughs in key technologies such as motors, electronic control systems, and integrated power solutions for low-altitude aircraft, promoting the improvement of China’s new technology research, development, testing, verification, and manufacturing chain for aviation power systems in the low-altitude manufacturing sector.

Chengdu adds new «AI+3D printing» super factory

Chengdu has welcomed an «AI+3D printing» super factory. On May 15, the Chengdu Economic Development Zone Additive Manufacturing Industry Matchmaking Conference and the commissioning ceremony of Jinshi Sanwei’s Southwest Headquarters project were grandly held. As a landmark project for Chengdu Economic Development Zone to lay out new tracks, cultivate new productive forces, and promote the high-end transformation of manufacturing, Jinshi Sanwei’s Southwest Headquarters has officially commenced operations, injecting innovative momentum into fields such as automobile manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, and cultural creativity.

In 2025, the Jinshi Sanwei Southwest Headquarters project was signed and settled in Chengdu Economic Development Zone, serving as the strategic core platform for Jinshi Sanwei’s layout in the southwest. The project focuses on the integrated innovation of «AI+3D printing,» comprehensively building full-process routes for both metal and non-metal materials, forming a full-chain capability of «research and development – verification – small-scale trial – pilot testing.» It provides one-stop closed-loop services from 3D scanning and precision machining to 3D printing and post-processing, widely serving key fields such as automobile manufacturing, aerospace, medical devices, cultural and creative sculptures, and education and training.

Currently, the Jinshi Sanwei Southwest Headquarters project has built approximately 10,000 square meters of transitional production base, equipped with thousands of high-end devices including SLM metal printing, SLA photopolymerization, SLS nylon, FGF large-format particle printing, full-color 3D printing, and CNC machining, and has officially entered the production and operation phase. Notably, the project is accelerating the construction of a specialized additive manufacturing industrial park, striving to build the first «research and development – equipment – application» integrated 3D printing full-chain base in the southwest, helping Chengdu establish a leading additive manufacturing industry ecosystem in China.
