Hyderabad: St. Francis Women’s College in Begumpet organized an awareness program under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan in the tribal hamlets of Sangareddy district. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 5 professors and 53 students.
According to the press release, students emphasized the importance of a nutritious diet during the awareness program. A play was performed to educate people against domestic violence, followed by demonstrations on mental health and well-being. Additionally, the benefits of the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and Balika Samriddhi Yojana were explained. Under the guidance of professors, students also highlighted the importance of segregating dry and wet waste. They further shared insights into the benefits of wheatgrass.
On this occasion, the college donated speakers and microphones to schools in Ippalgadda and Kandi Tanda to improve educational infrastructure.
