National Reading Conference
The National Reading Conference (NRC), founded in 1952, was a professional organization focused on literacy research and education. It hosted annual conferences where scholars and educators shared findings on reading instruction and policy. In 2015, the NRC merged with the Literacy Research Association to continue its mission under a new name.
National Reading Activity Week
National Reading Activity Week is an annual campaign in China that promotes the habit of reading and literacy across all age groups. Launched in 2006 under the guidance of the Chinese government, it aims to foster a love for books and knowledge, often featuring events like book fairs, reading competitions, and author talks.
