June 7 marked the first day of the 2026 National College Entrance Exam. Heavy rain fell across most of Chongqing, posing significant challenges for candidates traveling to exam sites and for site logistics. However, outside various exam locations in Chongqing, parents, teachers, police officers, and volunteers provided heartfelt support in the rain, wishing candidates success. Many touching moments emerged.
A 10-Month-Old Baby Cheers for Sister, Joked as ’17 Years to Go Until His Exam’

Yesterday at 11:30 AM, outside Chongqing No. 1 Middle School exam site, a little boy was seen waving his small hands from his father’s arms. He caught attention wearing a miniature version of the school’s uniform, looking very cute. His mother, Ms. Pang, explained that the boy, nicknamed “Rui Rui,” was only ten months old. “He might be the youngest exam supporter here today. Some uncles and aunties were joking with him, saying ‘He still has 17 years until his college entrance exam!'”
As she spoke, her daughter called to say she needed to return to the classroom and would exit around noon. When mentioned that they were a happy “family of four,” she smiled and corrected, “No, it’s a family of five.” It turned out Ms. Pang has another daughter who will take the high school entrance exam this year.
Ms. Pang and her husband are from Jiangsu and have been in Chongqing running a furniture business for over 20 years, currently living in Shapingba. Their eldest daughter, Wang Jia’en, studies at Chongqing No. 1 Middle School. A few days ago, she saw in a parent group that they could get an extra-small uniform, so she quickly got one for her son under one year old. This led to the scene at the beginning of the article, where 10-month-old “Rui Rui” became a little star outside the exam site.
Around noon, a cheerful, sunny girl appeared. She seemed confident about the morning exam. She then picked up her brother, who wore the same uniform as hers, and left with her parents under an umbrella, saying, “Looking forward to going home and tasting dad’s cooking!”
Fallen Tree Blocks Road, Emergency Response Ensures Smooth Exam Access
“Control, control! A large tree has fallen on Longhuang Road, blocking candidates’ passage. Please urgently dispatch relevant departments for clearance!” The urgent call from a police officer on duty crackled over the walkie-talkie in the rain.
The Nan’an District Public Security Bureau quickly activated its support plan, with multiple police units coordinating. Upon receiving the order, relevant staff rushed to the scene, conducting clearance operations in the rain. They swiftly removed the fallen tree and cleared road debris, restoring normal traffic flow to ensure smooth passage for vehicles and candidates heading to the exam.
Given the rainy weather, Nan’an police closely monitored key areas along exam site routes, congested sections, and low-lying zones, increasing patrol frequency and directing traffic.
