At the Mayu Village embankment construction project along the Yongding River in Shijingshan District, key works include embankment reinforcement and wave wall elevation, which have been designed to withstand a once-in-200-year flood. The progress was inspected, and information was gathered about flood control scheduling along the Yongding River, post-disaster recovery and comprehensive improvement projects, and flood prevention preparations in Shijingshan District. The reinforcement and elevation of the left embankment along Zuodi Road were checked, urging the acceleration of flood control projects along the Yongding River before the main flood season, with strict quality control to provide a solid barrier for the entire basin’s flood safety. A thorough analysis and assessment of flood risks under extreme rainfall conditions across the city’s five major river basins was called for, strengthening coordination between upstream and downstream areas and main and tributary streams. Key sites such as reservoirs, river channels, embankments, and flood detention areas should be closely monitored, and detailed plans for flood control scheduling, evacuation, and information release should be refined. The embankment safety monitoring system should be enhanced, with strict implementation of patrol inspection duties. At the operations center of Beijing Daxing International Airport, the rainwater emergency command platform system was inspected, learning about the airport’s flood control scheduling command system, emergency team and material preparations, and passenger travel support. It was noted that the airport is a key transportation hub, and its safe operation during the flood season is critical. Continuous efforts should be made to enhance response capabilities to extreme weather, focusing on heavy rain, strong winds, and hail. Flight scheduling, passenger evacuation, and emergency response plans should be further improved, with thorough inspections of water storage and drainage facilities and flood control drills. Coordination with relevant municipal departments and Daxing District should be strengthened to ensure the airport’s safe operation during the flood season.
