On June 1, three new “short-frequency-fast” feeder bus routes officially began trial operations near Shabe and Tongzhou Beiguan subway stations. Among them, two trial routes near Shabe station connect 11 residential communities, including Xinlei Shi and Yuxin Xincun, located south and east of the station. One trial route near Tongzhou Beiguan station links 12 communities, such as Luyuan Jiayuan and Zhujiang International in the city’s sub-center, providing precise connections to Subway Line 6.
Additionally, a trial “short-frequency-fast” feeder route near Beiyunhe West station had already been launched earlier, offering faster commuting services for residents of 10 communities, including Langfangyuan, connecting them to Subway Line 6. Since their launch, these trial routes have shown good results, and formal operations will begin soon based on passenger flow and feedback.
Meanwhile, near Wukesong station, plans are underway to adjust existing routes and introduce one or two new “short-frequency-fast” lines, with preparatory work actively in progress.
Moving forward, Beijing will continue to enhance feeder bus services at subway stations, expanding “short-frequency-fast” routes to more locations to improve the convenience and appeal of public transit, aiming to build a green and efficient urban transportation system.
