In July 2025, the national government issued the “Implementation Plan for the Child-Rearing Subsidy System,” clearly stipulating a subsidy of 3,600 yuan per child per year for children under the age of 3. As of December 31, 2025, over 24 million people nationwide had received the child-rearing subsidy.
According to work arrangements, the 2026 child-rearing subsidy application is now open. From January 1 to January 4, 2026, the child-rearing subsidy information management system underwent upgrades and testing, and applications became fully open starting January 5.
Eligible parents can apply through the child-rearing subsidy mini-program or Alipay app, as well as through online or offline channels.
