On the evening of September 14, a video posted online showed two young women being subdued by police at the entrance of Changchun Guilin Road Market. One of them was forcibly handcuffed, drawing a crowd of onlookers.

According to the video, a woman with blonde hair, holding an item, was pressed against the hood of a car by a man in a white T-shirt and a police officer. She stopped resisting only after being handcuffed. Subsequently, the police brought her to another woman who was shouting and resisting, and she was also forcibly taken away by three officers.

The video received tens of thousands of comments, shares, and likes, with many people at the scene and online asking, “What happened?” The uploader stated they did not witness the entire incident and did not know the details. In the comments, several netizens claimed the two women had a conflict with a street food vendor and refused to cooperate with the police, leading to their forced removal.
