Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairperson of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Good-Neighborly Friendship and Cooperation Committee, visited Kyrgyzstan from May 26 to 28. She met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, and President’s Special Representative Talantbek Torobayev. She also attended the SCO Local Leaders Forum and Friendly Cities Forum as well as the “Lifeline Express Brightness Action” event.
Shen Yueyue conveyed President Xi Jinping’s warm greetings to President Japarov, stating that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Kyrgyzstan comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era maintains a good development momentum. China is willing to work with Kyrgyzstan to implement the important consensus of the heads of state and promote the construction of a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future featuring good neighborliness and shared prosperity. China fully supports Kyrgyzstan in successfully hosting this year’s SCO summit.
President Japarov asked Shen Yueyue to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping, saying that Kyrgyzstan and China are good neighbors, good friends, and good partners. Kyrgyzstan supports the four global initiatives and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields to promote stable and long-term bilateral relations.
