Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports hit a record high, reaching $81.86 billion in the first half of 2025.

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Export Development Authority stated that Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports in the first half of this year reached 307 billion Saudi Riyals, achieving the highest half-year growth rate on record.

Speaking at a dialogue session during the “Made in Saudi 2025” exhibition, the Minister said that Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” has, through its various initiatives, driven the continuous growth of non-oil exports over the past few years, reaching historical highs. This is attributed to Saudi Arabia unlocking its national industrial potential, improving the quality of its products, and expanding their access to global markets.

The Minister emphasized the opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in developing industrial cities, which would enable Syria to benefit from Saudi Arabia’s successful experience in export development and localization support, thereby promoting its economic growth.

The Minister highlighted the efficiency, skills, and craftsmanship demonstrated by Syrian investors in the Saudi industrial sector, expressing hope that the industrial sector could become a key pillar for Syria’s economic development.

He also discussed the development of trade between the two countries, noting that in the first nine months of 2025, the total value of Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports to Syria reached 1.2 billion Saudi Riyals.

Saudi Export Development Authority

The Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA) is a government agency established in 2020 to enhance and diversify Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports as part of the Vision 2030 economic reform plan. It works to empower local businesses, improve their global competitiveness, and facilitate access to international markets, aiming to build a more resilient and sustainable national economy.

Made in Saudi 2025

“Made in Saudi 2025” is not a specific historical or cultural site, but rather a major national industrial and business initiative launched by Saudi Arabia. Its goal is to promote locally manufactured goods, boost domestic production, and showcase Saudi industrial capabilities to a global audience by the year 2025. The program is a key part of the Kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 plan to diversify its economy beyond oil.

Vision 2030

“Vision 2030” is not a specific physical place or cultural site, but rather Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive strategic framework to diversify its economy and develop public service sectors. Launched in 2016 under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, its history is rooted in the need to reduce the kingdom’s dependence on oil and transform its society. The plan outlines ambitious goals across economic, social, and cultural dimensions, including major projects like the futuristic city NEOM, to be achieved by the year 2030.
