Chang Xueqin, a professor and master’s supervisor at Taiyuan Normal University in Shanxi Province, is a recipient of the 2024 National Model Teacher Award.
With over 40 years of dedication to education, Chang Xueqin has focused on nurturing students, guiding them to align their personal development with the needs of the nation and society, contributing their youthful energy. She and her team developed a school-based curriculum for comprehensive practical activities and have organized multiple national training sessions for teachers from experimental schools. She founded the National High School Student Leadership Showcase, establishing a model for fostering social responsibility among students and creating a high-quality platform for them to engage with and serve society.
Chang Xueqin said that many students facing confusion, through her guidance, advice, and assistance, ultimately achieve better growth. A teacher’s sense of happiness, value, and accomplishment lies precisely in this.
