From April 22 to 24, during the “Famous Hong Kong Businesspeople Chongqing Tour” event, more than 200 renowned Hong Kong businesspeople from groups including the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong accounting sector, and the Greater Bay Area Import and Export Chamber of Commerce visited the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Hall, a smart connected new energy vehicle manufacturing plant, and technology innovation enterprises to explore new opportunities for cooperation between Chongqing and Hong Kong.
At a symposium during the event, the president of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong stated that the association is one of the most representative industrial and commercial groups in Hong Kong. In the future, it aims to promote a regular exchange mechanism between Chongqing and Hong Kong, focusing on key areas such as artificial intelligence and new energy vehicles. At the same time, it will leverage Hong Kong’s international platform advantages to connect with innovation resources and international capital from the Greater Bay Area, continuously enhancing the efficiency of collaborative innovation between the two regions.
The executive vice president of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and CEO of a precision automotive company believes that Chongqing’s complete industrial layout for new energy vehicles and electronic information provides an ideal application scenario for Hong Kong’s industrial transformation and upgrading. He will promote deeper cooperation between member companies of the federation and Chongqing’s new energy vehicle manufacturers in key areas such as batteries, motors, and electronic controls.
