The 2025 Air Force Aviation Open Event and Changchun Air Show will take place from September 19th to 23rd at the Changchun International Aviation Expo City. Recently, multiple types of combat aircraft and several aerobatic teams participating in the event conducted site adaptation training.

Changchun International Aviation Expo City
The Changchun International Aviation Expo City is a modern exhibition and trade complex in Changchun, China, dedicated to the aerospace and aviation industries. It was established to support the region’s growing aerospace sector and to host major events like the China Airshow. The center serves as a hub for showcasing technological innovations, facilitating trade, and promoting international cooperation in aviation.
August 1st Aerobatic Team
The August 1st Aerobatic Team is the official aerobatic demonstration team of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). It was established in 1962 and is named after the date of the founding of the PLA. The team performs at national celebrations and airshows, flying J-10 fighter jets in complex, precision formations.
Red Eagle Aerobatic Team
The Red Eagle Aerobatic Team is the official aerobatic demonstration team of the Royal Thai Air Force, established in 1992. They are renowned for their precision flying in their four Alpha Jet aircraft, performing at national events and airshows. Their routines showcase the skill of the Thai Air Force and serve to promote national pride and international goodwill.
J-20 fighter jet
The Chengdu J-20 is a Chinese single-seat, twinjet, all-weather stealth fighter aircraft developed by Chengdu Aerospace Corporation for the People’s Liberation Army Air Force. It was first flown in 2011 and formally entered service in 2017, representing a major milestone in China’s efforts to develop a modern, indigenous fifth-generation fighter jet to bolster its air power.
J-16 fighter jet
The J-16 is a Chinese fourth-generation, twin-seat, twin-engine multirole strike fighter developed by the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation. It is derived from the Russian Sukhoi Su-30 and was developed to replace older strike aircraft in the People’s Liberation Army Air Force service. Entering service around 2015, it is a key component of China’s modern aerial warfare capabilities, designed for both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions.
