On June 5, in the Dazu District of Chongqing, primary school students practiced the Shuangqiao lion dance technique. The Shuangqiao lion dance is a traditional lion dance that has spread throughout Dazu, Chongqing. It incorporates local cultural characteristics on the basis of Southern Lion performances, forming an artistic style rich in techniques, complete routines, and strong local flavor. In April 2011, the Shuangqiao lion dance was selected as part of the third batch of municipal-level intangible cultural heritage in Chongqing. In recent years, the local area has organized training and invited inheritors to teach, allowing more young people to come into contact with and understand the Shuangqiao lion dance, experiencing the charm of traditional culture through learning and practice, and promoting the passing down of intangible cultural heritage skills.
